well they did spawn again, the divider has been removed and I have been treating the tank for ich with quick cure, they now have a good 50 wigglers!

Re: Stubborn discus pair
I'm gonna try to get the divider back in with everyone on their appropriate sides.....
Funny, these guys don't do a thing when the water is perfect and everything else is all good but add quick cure and crank the temp up to 88 and they spawn

Re: Stubborn discus pair
Not quite but they keep wiggling off and orange soda is right there to catch them and spit them back on the silicone where they have them, Freckles is running perimeter guard.

Re: Stubborn discus pair
And they are still there! I did leave the light on last night just so they could keep them all stuck to the silicone. Other than last night I have been turning the light off at night like I normally do. Looks like 15-20 fry now, egg sack is nearly used up and they are really wanting to be on the move. I'm thinking they will attach themselves to the parents today sometime.

The fry are wanting to attach to the parents now, the parents keep putting them back though, pretty funny to watch!

Re: Stubborn discus pair
All free swimming and they are friggin everywhere! Prolly wont last too long.... daddy isn't helping so much any more and the corys are waiting on any unlucky ones...
Once everyone is clean of ich for 2 weeks I will pull everyone out from this tank except for Tiger and Zorro, the other breeding pair but Tiger is sterile, and one lfbn pleco. Hopefully with just another pair in there they will still breed but the enemy's will be fewer for the fry.
Stubborn guys wont breed in a tank by themselves

Re: Stubborn discus pair
Sorry they are all gone but at least you know you have a good pair there. Hopefully the next one makes it all the way for you.
