Re: Stubborn discus pair
fern, why get the ro,, if your water is soft enought to hatch discus eggs?
i really dont know much about those awesome plecos you have, but i would think that your water would be perfect

Re: Stubborn discus pair
My water isn't soft, comes out of the tap with a PH of 7.5-8 and TDS ranging from 250-300.
These guys were born and raised on the same water, so they are ok with it.
The RO is mostly for the rams and apistos and the other soft acidic water fish I am getting. The discus will just benefit from it too.

Re: Stubborn discus pair
And we have wigglers!!!!! Only 15-20 of them but that's enough for me!!!
Oh and I have been leaving their tank light on at night. I do need to find a small light to use at night, leaving the power-compact lights on all of the time is asking for an algae issue.

I really don't want to spook them with the camera, they are the most skittish of all of my discus.
