Re: male plecos
No. At least mine won't. However, I do believe it depends on what kind of Pleco is in question.

Re: male plecos
No problem with the BN Plecs. They'll get along together nicely. They also will not interfere with the others breeding. So you're good to go.

Do you have a cave? If not, I'll tell you how to make one.

Re: male plecos
Go to Lowe's and buy two 6 inch by 6 inch slate tiles. Have them cut them for you. One right in half, the other one in three long pieces, so you'll have three 2 inch by 6 inch pieces and two 3 inch by 6 inch pieces.
Get some aquarium safe 100% silicon. WalMart sells the GE brand (if GE, make sure it's the type 1).
Look at this site, http://www.aquabid.com/cgi-bin/auction/auction.cgi?breeding&1314321602 .
This will give you an idea of how they should look like, but make sure you get the 'clear silicon', that black stuff looks horrible.
Cut a smaller piece from the left over slate to cover one end of the cave.
I get small river rock and glue them all over the cave, so they will look better in the tank. You can also glue plastic plants and/or flowers to the outside of it to make it look decorative.
After you finish the cave, wait at least 48 hours before putting it in the tank.

If its in your 10g tank yes they will fight! I have had to separate males before that were at each others throats! And that was in a 33g long

Re: male plecos
yes especially if not enough female around. 1 male is all you need for breeding with 3 females.

Poor guy is working full time with a steady supply of eggs in the tank though! I need to pull him here soon and give him a breather
