just be sure you're not getting aquatic turtle food as it is higher in protein.

I got her a bigger tank today I will put her in it tomorrow other then the plastic rubbermaid tote she is in. I am sure she will enjoy it more she can see the sunlight more.

Before you get too attached to him, you should look into the laws and regulations in your area regarding wild turtles and keeping them as pets. I am an active member on the Field Herp Forum, which is a great resource for info on herp laws and what not. Not wanting to scare you about it, but in some areas it could be serious legal trouble. several years ago the law stated that no turtle terrapin or tortoise could be sold in Tenn
i remember reporting a pet shop that had some in the store they where not for sale but they where in the the store and the store got $500.00 fine per turtle that they had in the store even though they where not for sale(they had 12 Turtles by the way)so be careful and find out if the laws have changed as i have not been in Tn for almost 10 years now so things might have changed.I know thing have changed down here in Florida red eared sliders are now ileagel 3 years ago they where legal but not now
