    discus spawning and angel fish

    Post by alan j t on Sat May 28, 2011 11:27 pm

hi all, so my pair spawned in the community tank. i uped the wc's to twice a week. i am trying to condition them for future breeding in the next month.
so today they laided on a piece of drift wood. cool but, my angel laid also, and very close to the discus spawn. what is wierd is that there is NOT another angel in this tank. she is guarding this batch of eggs like no tomorrow. it would be cool if my angel bred with a discus. but alas there is no mate guarding her eggs with her.

Is it possible for a discus to spawn with an angel and the eggs turn out?

No angels and discus will not interbreed. Female angels will lay eggs or they can get egg bound if they don't absorb. (pretty sure discus do the same)

I see I hit a sensitive topic regarding Kory!... Interestingly enough, our lil Richmond Forum now outnumbers the Va Chapter of his forum by at least 2 to one. We've been up less than 2 months. I think we need a new forum: Banned by Kory!.. Bill in Va. lol!

I consider it a "badge of honor" to have been banned! But really.. not banned, he just changed my password! My read is that after banning Vix, her posts were attributed to "Guest"... all references within each of her threads still retain her screen name!... I'm sure that galls him to see Vix still getting credit. When and if I get totally banned mine will revert to "Guest" posts... With over 1000 posts, he'd start looking pretty stupid when the bulk of his posts are from "guests" rather than registered users... That's why I suspect I've not been completely banned. What a freakin moron the guy is... I'd like to ask a few of you to log onto our Va group "Aquaticfriendsunited" forumotion and help us build our content! Bill in Va.
