    Misc Fish:

    Flaming Angel - good choice
Red Fairy Anthias - jumper, plankton feeder needs to be fed regularly
Japanese Borbonius Anthius - jumper, plankton feeder needs to be fed regularly
Blackcap Basslet - good fish once they adapt, a good copepod population will help
Strawberry Basslet - one of the meaner ones
    Pseudochromis fish (Porphyrous)
Red Scooter Blenny - awesome little fish but you have to have a lot of copepods for them to feed on

    Gobies:

Yellow Watchman - good and hardy, just dont see them much, but in the 55g I did always see mine
Blue and/or green Mandrin - you need to pick one copepod feeder, a 55g will not support 2, unless you get a tank raised one of these and they are available at boardroom.
    Purple Firefish - jumper
    Green Banded
    Flaming Prawn

Wrasses: have a tendency to jump

    Melanurus Fairy
    Hawiian Flame Fairy
    Coris- Green

    Mushrooms: - very good choices

    Blue Florida Ricordea
    Orange Florida Ricordea
    Green Florida Ricordea
    Green and Blue/Purple Bullseye

    Corals:

Purple Garf Bonsia - acros are pretty hard to keep
Blue Acropora - acros are pretty hard to keep
Orange Sun - you have to feed it, has no zoanthelle (the algae part of most corals that makes them need light) so its a daily feederand can be easily trained to come out during the day
Aussie Dragon Soul Reverse Prism Faula - favia? there are others just as pretty but without the massive price tag
Metalic Green Torch - good choice after you are good with the softies this is a good next step

Zoas: are a good choice for beginners!

    LA Lakers
    Strawberry Garden
    Eagle Eye
    Eye Of Jupiter
    African Blue Hornet
    Alph and Omegus

    LPS Corals:

Flaming Dendrophyllia Head - kinda hard to keep happy
Elegance - pretty aggressive from what I know

Sea Fans: - mostly filter feeders and need special foods

    Red Finger
    Orange Tree

    Hermit Crabs:

Blue Leg - good and cheap
    Electric Blue
    Scarlet
Halloween - way over priced IMO

    Shrimp:

    Peppermint - good aptasia eaters
Scarlet Skunk - awesome for picking parasites off fish
Blood Red - pretty but not so good at picking parasites
Golden Coral Banded - only one coral banded per tank unless they are a mated pair
Blue Body Coral Banded - only one coral banded per tank unless they are a mated pair
    Pederson
Sexy - very small may become food
Tiger Pistol - pistols make a godawful crack noise and will kill and eat your other shrimp
Candy Stripe Randalls Pistol - pistols make a godawful crack noise and will kill and eat your other shrimp
    Saron

Sea Slugs: pain in the butt, and have a habit of ending up on powerheads and in the overflows, better off looking at cucumbers who have a harder body.

    Chamberlain Nudibranch
    Purple and Yellow Nudibranch
    Velvet Nudibranch

    Fan Worms: are filter feeders

    Yellow and Red Fountain Head
    Flourescent Green

    Misc Fish:

    Flaming Angel
    Blackcap Basslet
    Strawberry Basslet
    Red Scooter Blenny
Clown Fish - good in almost any tank! If you want to end up with a pair you get 2 small young ones at the same time, they change sexes!

    Gobies:

    Yellow Watchman
Blue and/or green Mandrin - tank raised? They really do much better!
Purple Firefish - like I said its a jumper!

Wrasses: - fairys are really the only ones who mix well, I would keep it to one in that tank.

Melanurus Fairy- Don't think I like it anymore, but up in the air
    McCoskers Flasher

    Mushrooms:

    Blue Florida Ricordea
    Orange Florida Ricordea
    Green Florida Ricordea
    Green and Blue/Purple Bullseye

    Corals:

Purple Garf Bonsia - Ummm I'm still afraid to mess with acros lol
    Blue Acropora
    Orange Sun
Aussie Dragon Soul Reverse Prism Faula
    Metalic Green Torch

    Zoas:

LA Lakers - I think its a deep water one and those are more demanding
    Strawberry Garden
Eagle Eye - easy enough to get!
    Eye Of Jupiter
    African Blue Hornet
Alpha and Omegas - I killed mine
    You forgot radioactive dragons eye!

    Sea Fans:

    Orange Tree- Up in air

    Hermit Crabs:

    Blue Leg
    Electric Blue
    Scarlet
    Halloween

    Shrimp:

    Peppermint
    Scarlet Skunk
    Blood Red
Golden Coral Banded- May have to settle with this
Blue Body Coral Banded- Want this, but may not be available
    Saron

Sea Slugs: They look cool so still on list but won't get them

    Chamberlain Nudibranch
    Purple and Yellow Nudibranch
    Velvet Nudibranch

Fan Worms: make sure you are avoididnt the kinds in fire coral, that stuff will tear you up!

    Yellow and Red Fountain Head
    Fluorescent Green

it could work but will block off some of the light, we can try to re-glue in that glass to make a center brace its already cut to fit that tank it just didnt hold the first time.... or you can set that piece on and lay your lids on, just gotta be careful not to knock the whole mess in!

Well stock has changed again to this...

    1st: Hermit Crabs
2nd: Shrimp-Skunk Cleaners, Peppermint, and Blood Red
    3rd: Whip Fin Fairy Wrasse
4th: Blue Gudgeon Dartfish and Purple Firefish
    5th: Yellow Prawn Goby
6th: Blue mandrin and Red Scooter Blenny
    7th: Blackcap basslet
    8th: Flame Angel

And now I'm thinking of dropping the Blue Gudgeon Dartfish and yellow prawn goby and getting a Blue Hippo Tang (Dory) Would get a squirt one and plan on upgrading to a bigger tank in the future if it's possible using pre existing equipment. Would it be possible fern?

It could work, you could make it work for a while and slowly upgrade to proper sized stuff, you just dont want a deep tank, the deeper the tank the more light you need for it.
The pump could probably go on a larger tank, its a mag 7 so its pretty hefty.
What size you looking to go?
