Q about utilities water changes

I guess our local water treatment plant is going to be changing stuff around to disinfect the water. They are going from chloramines to free chlorine residual chemicals. I was wondering if I should let my water sit 24 hrs in a bucket with dechlorinator in it or continue to just put it in straight from the tap and add the dechlorinator in while adding water.

Also I use AmQuel Plus should I switch to Prime?

you should be fine doing what your doing now adding dechlorinatot while the tank fills
i use prime but never tried the other stuff so IDK

Double up on what you normally use, so 2x the amount you used to use.
