72 bow discus tank

so heres some recent pics of the fish that i cater to.
i change water once a week about 90 percent of water. they are fed once a day with my homemade beefheart seafood mix. i make the mix about every six months.
fluval 405 and a sponge filter to clean there messyness.2 sterbia corys, a bushy nose pleco and a mated pair of angels.

How do you get away with a 90% water change with out osmotic shock??

idk dano. heres what i do.
i put the water in a plastic barrel up to temp first and have the pump running and the heater sometimes.i use cold and hot water at the same time. i dont have to age it, lucky me. also water conditioner.
then drain the tank, till they atre swimming side ways a little, fill up the tank, the barrel never fills up the tank all the way so then i add some water staright from the tap. my fish never seem to stressed. when the job is all done the fish seem happier.
