I was bad.....

And just got 6 platinum pearlscale angels from the lfs I work at today I have been eyeballing them for about 2 weeks now I am putting them in the 33g long with the rams for now They are about dime body size.
I think I got 3 males and 3 females with Fin's little tips They look pretty close to veils to me?

How can you tell male from female at that age? I sure can't

the more I look at them I think the blue sheen is more pearlscale than a blue gene as usually blue has bright blue specks in the fins but not always. Hard to tell in pics. What gets me is the transparency you can see most of there organs.

We will just have to see what they grow up to be

Boy they are pretty looks like nice veil possible some super veils.This is one of my blue platinums, see the blue in his fins and around the gill area this is what you look for as they are growing

Sexing Angels???? I have messed with Angels for near 50 years and can't sex Angels until I actually see them in the process of spawning.
Even then it is hard to tell when you get two females go thru the spawning process......I find it amazing that you can sex them at 1/2 inch diameter.

They were in QT for 2 weeks, most all fish spend 2 weeks in QT unless they are from local breeders that we know have healthy fish.
If theres any left they are in the back community room in one of the 30g tanks.
