    So I know its a pistol shrimp but what kind?

    We had it in the 125g sump till it took up residence in the hydromoter... so we tossed it in the tank.

    It looks kinda of like a mantis shrimp But it's not do they really making a clicking noise??

    Mantis are much stockier than this guy.

    I don't check the salt stuff very much, so sorry for the late response. Maybe, it's a "candy stripe pistol shrimp" from what I can see.

    Here are some of the red shrimp names:
    Alpheus armatus Red Snapping shrimp
    Alpheus sp. "Red Caribbean Pistol Shrimp
