I have one that is like lets say 9-10" (12" if you use a man ruler). Make me an offer, willing to trade or whatever you can come up with. I can ship it but I'd rather something local.

Re: Big common pleco
From what I understand the fronts will devour food (the ones here do) we have a sump system and overfeed with Spirulina 20 so all the fish get some food.

Re: Big common pleco
ya been breakin up spirulina when i feed um so the food goes everywhere ( they getin blood worms every few days also ) , but i got like 10 fronts , 4 sunspots , 2 dubosi , an 1 ikola in a 150g. they all eating like growing kids/animals .
this is my first experience with clown loaches , so im reading and askin questions. wondering if there is a wafer or something else i can try to get to bottom without the animals eating it .

Re: Big common pleco
Those loaches will eat just about anything. I feed all my fish a mix of Spirulina 20 and common flake food. Loaches also love snails so if you ever need to get rid of snails just add the loaches for a month. You can also buy the algae wafers or carnivore pellets but I only drop one of those every once in a while as a treat.
What the loaches will eat:
Smaller loaches like yours eat snails, blood worms, tubifex worms, brine shrimp, any flake food, any sinking pellets.
Medium sized 3"-5" will also eat ghost shrimp, bits of regular shrimp, and floating pellets
Jumbos 6"+ will eat anything they can get into thier mouth.

Re: Big common pleco
Ok what you do is get a turkey baster. Feed the top fish on one end of the tank and use the turkey baster to squirt some food down on the other end for the bottom dwellers

Re: Big common pleco
Remind me and I will give you a few assassin snails when you come by.
Dropping pellets down a piece of PVC on one end of the tank into the rocks is also another good trick.
