I would like to get a 10 gal running with a pair of fish to breed as feeders.I was thinking like convicts or red jewels not guppies or mollies. so let me know what kind of ideas you have for an inexpensive feeder. Can't wait to see the replies on this one. LOL

Re: need ideas on feeders
What do you plan on feeding them to? You know this would be a snack sized tank since you won't get a yield big enough for daily feeding?
If you want to feed cichlids then marbled crayfish are best, they self reproduce so only one is needed and a larger cray can drop over 100 babies. I have 3 of them and they produce well.

Re: need ideas on feeders
I sell one cray for $5, or 12 newly dropped fry for $5
Have Fern bring home one of the crays from work, I think they are all marbles. The shop sells them as just common crays for $0.50 (way too cheap).

Re: need ideas on feeders
I don't think the ones from the ditch are cloning crays but I could be wrong. I want a fish not a tank of crays! I know I'm fussy.
