Snot Ball and Sterling
They're spawning and Sterling is actually fertilizing the eggs!!! The is her 3rd time laying and his first time ever attempt at fertilizing. I'm so totally stoked! Can't ya tell. lol I'm half tempted to pull the eggs and try to raise them myself, but seeing as they have officially paired I think I will leave them alone. Time for another divider. EEEKKK EEEkkk YAY. Will put updates here about them lol and will be adding pics later of Snot Ball aka Shine. For now here's sterling.

Re: Snot Ball and Sterling
There are no white eggs. And they haven't eaten the eggs yet either. Totally surprised by these 2. They are keeping all the other fish away wouldn't know there are like 50 small fish in the tank looking at it right now lol. Shall see what they do when the eggs hatch...shoot will be surprised if they last today.

Re: Snot Ball and Sterling
I'm at 7 wigglers out of about 150 eggs. The wigglers are survivors of the 24 that I moved into a breeder pen. All the ones in the display tank got eaten.zeketaz wrote:Lol 24 hours later and they still have eggs. Only saw 1 white eggs so far. This is crazy.

Hah, Now I'm down to 3 that are almost free swimming. I wish I could figure this out. So far I figure between 2 pairs of angels I've had about 1000 eggs and nothing growing outzeketaz wrote:I got wigglers!!! Rofl

Re: Snot Ball and Sterling
Mine are in one of those floating livebearer traps. This batch was in my main tank and I moved a few into the trap to see how they would do. All the ones that hatched in the tank were eaten so these are the only survivors.

Re: Snot Ball and Sterling
Are they being sucked out through the slots? I know my fish suck them out if I don't rig it so they can't get near them.

Re: Snot Ball and Sterling
Some of them seem to have died. The last 7 are gone, I think they went free swimming and got sucked out. Good news is the other pair just put up about 50 eggs in the 125 tank.zeketaz wrote:Are they being sucked out through the slots? Yep and almost free swimmers. The female has laid eggs 2 times before, but never with another male and this time was Sterlings very first time.
