    Its growing on my return line in my 120g discus tank. Perfectly harmless and pretty much the same thing as black beard algae! This stuff is really pretty!!!! I kinda hope it starts growing in a few more spots!

    apparently all you need is a tiny bit and the right conditions! Seems it likes warm fast water.
    I'm gonna try to get a pic of it all fluffed out in the flow, its really pretty!

    looks like something out of a cheesy horror film lol. Like a radioactive slime monster, but very pretty color

    Ya it is kinda weird looking, but hey its the most purple thing that I have found to live in fresh so its staying, I love my purple stringy goo Purple algae! 2113965524

    The purple algae looks very nice to watch. But it should be removed
    because of its harmness. For this purpose the use of LED lighting
    and water filtration is necessary.
