I don't think it's anything major but just in case we loose power clean out a tub or fish tank and fill it up with fresh water just in case.

    Tis was Ferns idea lol

You should ask Sarge about his previous experience of thriving fish with no power!

Are you talking for human consumption!? Haha, the looks our neighbors would give us if they saw that!

I figured both. Good to have to drink and if you need to do an emergancy water change. Of course would need an empty bucket to add prime to the water. Wouldn't want to drink it lol

I always told my friends that in an emergency situation I'd have no problem drinking my fish tank water. It can't be any worse than getting lake water in your mouth swimming....Let's hope I never have to live up to it though! I bought one 5 gallon water igloo and one 2 gallon water igloo today. Plus we have a pitcher of water in the fridge.

Even if we lost power for weeks I wouldn't forsee myself having any problems with the fish. I only ever lost one common pleco to a power outage up in MI. The power was out for a couple weeks because of an ice storm and the house temp got to like 45ish.... Thankfully my only other fish were goldfish. The temp cooled slowly enough, and they were fine!

Haha ya Katie I don't even remember how long those fish went without power to their tanks. A few months I think! However we can thank your lovely boyfriend for that lol. But we did have access to clean water so we just did water changes, but even then it was maybe once or twice a week at a few gallons at a time!!! haaaa

Sometimes I really miss our adventures from that appartment...sigh

Went to the beach today with Fern hoping to find critters or something and all we got were tons of empty shells, a gutted urchin, and sunburns.

The wind was insane got blown all over the place. Was walking into the wind and Fern walked in front of me and blocked the wind for a sec and I almost face planted into her LOL

Well I could have told you this storm would be nothing for us. I have a perfect track record since Charlie.

As for water I have 300 gallons of R/O at any given time.
