    R.I.P. fishy

Post by Sarge on Sat Aug 25, 2012 2:39 am

I went to go turn the lights off on my african tank. Only to find my Venastus laying on the ground belly up :'( he was fine earlier today. He wasn't sick or nothing, and he wasn't even old! I don't I had him for a year yet. It's too bad he was a real good lookin fish.

I heard that if fish are super inbred their ticker just gives out. That may be what happened to your poor little guy. Not sure if you know his back ground or not.

Was he bloated at all? like fat? I would hit the tank with a single dose of metronitazol just for S&G's
Sorry for your loss, those are pretty fish.

oory to hear about your fish but I wouldn't speculate as to it's death sometimes it's just time. Also I have about 8 juveniles maybe 3 inches each, in my son's tank if you need a replacement.

Ya I'm upset it happened because it was a nice fish. He was a nice fish to watch too. But I had been told that when he got bigger that he would try and take over the tank, so idk maybe it was for the best anyways. But thanks Joe I appreciate the offer.
