I plan on doing some freshwater collecting this weekend and I'm sure to come accross plenty of species. If anyone is looking for something from the local waters just let me know and I'll bring it back for you.

I hope to find some nice mature mollies, least killies, flagfish, and bluefin killies. I also stumble upon jewel cichlids, mayan cichlids, black acara, and plenty of mystery cichlid fry.

If you stumble across any black acara that would be awesome, would love to grow some out since I have an extra male and my pair let's just say are by far free loaders. A few others on the list too LOL not sure if I have anything you may want in trade or something

Of course that is if you'd be willing to ship them up here

I can ship them no problem. With the acara most are a pretty good size like 5 inches but I'll see what we can find.

I'd love to Joe, but still no tanks set up. Maybe some time I can accompany you on an excursion. I'd love to get out and explore a little more of this area.

Anyone need some native fish? Empty collecting

I stopped at a ditch in North Ft. Myers yesterday and all the fish were congregated in a small area. I was getting literally over a hundred with each scoop. Was jewel cichlids, flagfish, tons of gambusia (black and white males, Giant ramshorn snales, apple snales, black spiral snails, freshwater clams etc. Was amazing.

I have a few Fern, just no space, time, or disposable funds right now unfortunately. I've got a ten half-moon that I want to get set up for pygmy sunfish, and glass to make a 15 long, and a few small(<1 gallon) bowls and vases for some extreme nano fish. Just no time or money right now unfortunately. I would like a few 2.5s though for tiny planted tanks.

Can anyone tell me what these are? They had nice red bellies when I hooked them but they are obviously stressed and lost the red.

Today was a good day, we hit 3 spots and got something at every one. I'll get some pics up soon.

That is very discouraging because I got them in the middle of spawning. They had nests and tubes were out.

Here is a pic of a male molly I got in North Fort Myers (credit to reefkeeper for the spot)
