well, my name is Justin, i saw the ad for the club on craigslist, so i came right over....

i currently have 2 tanks, and a "pond".....my 20 long currently has nothing, the beta died.....in my 40 tall i am "growing" a firemouth, he was TINY, and still has a long time before he can join the others, also a rubbermouth pleco, for cleaning......then there's my big "tank", i keep a 650 gallon $50 dollar Wal Mart kids pool in my florida room.....main resident is my huge red tiger oscar....then theres a huge regular goldfish that came with the oscar, a nicaraguan cichlid i got from a guy who just may be a member here, 1 blue malawi hybrid, 1 African orange cichlid, the type of which i am not really sure, it was a "free fish" on the list....and theres 2 red bay snook, one large and one small one that doesnt seem to grow at all, also theres one huge regular pleco, one large regular pleco, and the smallest pleco is also pretty large compared to what u see in people's tanks....thats all i have in there for now, though i am always accepting "donations" of large fish, as theres still alot of room in there...and i like having the larger fishes that other people for some reason cant keep properly.....i mean when your fish is a foot long and cant even turn around in its tank, whats so hard about getting a pool, as i did??

as far as me personally, i am into fish obviously, also really into old Mercedes diesel cars....i am German American, so i travel to europe alot to work and see family....thats about all i can think of for now.....greetings to you all!!

wups.......i actually honestly forgot all about the forum until just now....

yeah, i still have the "big nic".....he may or may not have grown a bit, cant really tell....he finally got over his "phobia" of rather not eating than go to the surface to take food....now he hits it like a jack would some bait...

one of the 2 malawi hybrids suddenly died, who knows why, he was just on the bottom one morning getting sucked on by the plecos...this was like 2 months ago....still have the darker blue one, and i like his colors better anyways...lol

that sunburst cichlid actualy died after only 2 weeks of having him, maybe he was stressed, who knows.....he was also simply on the bottom one morning, getting sucked on by the plecos...

the winter was a bit cold for them, even with a heater running in the florida room the water eventually got down to 60.....no one died though, or even went into shock, they all took food just fine, so i dont think they cared one bit...

i ended up never finding a pond filter to my liking, so instead i drain and replace 3/4 of the water monthly.....they seem to love the hard well water, and the pool stays chrystal clear....never have ANY waste issues, so im thinking the big plecos simply eat it all...

i have to get into my fish hobby again, i swear iv been simply feeding and maintaining them for a long time, but not getting any more fish or doing anything cool or even really enjoying them...
