    Going to do a test

Post by Finsandfeathers on Thu Feb 23, 2012 7:50 pm

As the title says I'm going to start a "test/research" project. What's it going to be? All this hype about repashy fish food. What's my plan to test this out? I've got a group of young Victorians that are going to be split as evenly as possible into groups then placed into 3 different tanks. These are from one female & one poppa to make it equal as far as the same genetic make up. All will have the same temp, water changes, filtration, etc... Here's comes the test/research part of it: group A will get the standard everyday food that almost all fish get here, B will get the Repashy food and C will get either NLS or one of the Omega foods.

Goal to see if there is a difference in growth rate, condition, etc.... not bias any way on this but since I've seen so many arguments going many different ways this will answer it for me. I've done this before with other fish for a friend but this will be a new one on a bit larger overall scale.

Going to do a blog on this with weekly updates on the groups and such.

My guess is going to be no differences at all. Media hype, blah blah blah. But who knows, you might prove something. Wink

wow I must live in the dark.... I haven't even heard of that one.... could you put up like the first 8-10 ingredients? just curious....

I'm loving the test! especially with using vics! You will really be able to see color enhancements or issues by using them as subjects!

on a side note, I actually saw a fish food at the dollar store a while back that actually looked like a good food going by the ingredients Shocked I usually just pick those up for a good laugh!
