Post by Ben on Thu Feb 09, 2012 11:09 pm

Just a few shots of my new plecos. First 2 from a friend and the last came with a tank I bought recently.

    Dekeyseria brachyura

    Wild Caught Bristlenose

    Gold Nugget

    Very nice!
The gold nuggets can get a little pushy so watch out for that.

He definitely has an attitude. He is in a 180 though with a ton of territories. The deke hangs out with the nugget but the rest just stay away. He is a bit pushy with the corys too but everybody is doing great.

Ya thats the reason that they are hard to breed, they are just so mean with other plecos

I may add a royal pleco in to the same tank but I will keep an eye on them. I want to get a blue panaque but most likely in a seperate tank.

From what I have seen royals pretty much mind their own business, but I have only gotten to observe them in the lfs.

Royals can be pretty pushy too. Mine used to chase away anything that came too close, especially at feeding time.
