    When trying to get tubing on something a way to get the tubing much more pliable is by soaking it in very hot water for a moment

    Not a tip or trick, but a good idea. Use water from your water changes to water houseplants or your garden.

    And while you're doing your w/c's, grab a few of your sponge filters and clean them in your discharge bucket.. Makes for SUPER fertilizer... I do all my outside plants with this and they leap in growth!..

    I have gone around to the "lakes" ...sorry I'm from Michigan these are big ponds to me lol... and collected some really cool rocks. Then I go home and boil them, clean them off, and repeat a couple times. I get some neat looking rocks that I get for nothing but my time.
