whats the best food and way to feed open brain coral
i was told at the LFS to target feed it and make sure it has plenty of light

he also told me that i dont always have to feed it! thats photosynthetic and feeds off light?

any thought or advice on this? thanks

There are several different "foods" you can target feed with. I use DT's Phyto to feed my lps. I don't target feed however. Another popular choice is "reef chili" and there's another product the nano-reef community is pretty big on that slips my mind. All LPS benefit from target feeding. Your Zoas will too!

iv heard so many good things about cyclopeez
and reefchilli i hear is good aswell!
but how exactly do i target feed?
do i point the syringe into the corals mouth and blast away or do i just turn the pumps off and place food on em and let them do their thing?

i have never target fed any of my corals
nut this brain i have is looking a lil funky! so its got me wanting to feed it and see what happens

Turn your pumps off for like 5 minutes before.
Fill your target feeding device (syringe, turkey baster)
GENTLY dust a little food just up stream from them
wait for them to extend feeders
GENTLY dust a little more food on them.
    They'll swell!

This process might take some time.
