I had a marineland LED 11" light over my 10 gal Q tank. Well went to look at the tank today and notice the light is in the bucket I keep on top of it so hubby didn't see it. I pick it up and water starts draining from it!! I turn it on and it still works, but smells funny. That was a $50 light to Sad How it didn't electrocute the fish in the tank I have no idea. I disconnected it from the power strip and am letting it dry out now. Shall see if it still works on monday.

No clue who knocked it in the water...hubby or kids, but what a way to start off to a bad weekend.

If it turned on it should be fine just let it dry out really well and twist the bulbs a few times and you should be fine.

The "I turned it on" made me laugh. You know, the idea is to let it dry out first. Lucky for you it didn't shock you, I wonder how it stayed on after it got wet, you would think it would either short out or trip a breaker.

It reminds me of people who get their cell phone wet and the first thing they try to do is power it up. Then the water causes a short and they need a new phone.
