    Live food for my cichlids.

Post by williemcd on Sat Mar 12, 2011 11:27 am

This spring here in Va we generally see an outbreak of a tiny critter called spider or cedar mites. They look like tiny tiny red ants. I was thinking about collecting a few of them occasionally and giving the cichlids a rare treat!.. (my home is organic so no worry about pesticides).. I also will at times take an earth worm.. soak it in clean water to "empty" it out then chop it up in bite sized chunks.. They go crazy over this!.. Anything else on the menu?
