They grow to about 12"-15" and they are $35 I'm going to pick them up from someone next week. They retail for $45-$55 so I guess the guy just wants to get rid of them.

K on the 3rd I will have the payment if that's possible I'll take one. Will give me time to research and set up a tank.

Here is the info from fish profiles, they say they only grow to 11.8 inches but I have seen other bichers bigger than that. http://fishprofiles.com/profiles/freshwater/OthersFW/Polypterus_senegalus/

If they survive the transfer I'll save one for you.

I'm waiting to hear back about the size, age of the fish, and what they are feeding on.

I've never been much for arowana or knife fish. I like eels an loaches the most, favorite right now is the Tanganyikan Zebra Eel. I have one right now and even though it rarely comes out it has quite a personality (P.S. it's in a community tank)

I have wanted one since I saw one in a restaurant we used to go to when I was little, but the size tank they need has kept me from getting one....

Weird, no reply from the guy with these fish. I bet he found out what they are really worth.
