Re: Tank Build
Good news;
Both fish are now eating shrimp right off the tweezers
went mojono hunting on one of the rocks today and tried to frag some mushrooms
Bad news;
got zoa eating nudibrances, trashed the eagle eye colony that I found the one on, other colony's checked out clean.
The center 'brace' we put in to hold thew lids just fell in, hopefully the goby doesnt decide to jump

Re: Tank Build
So Nemesis got all dark and died, the one at the fish shop did the same.....
Now Cherry.... he killed a hermit crab to steal its shell to decorate his cave with and I just found my missing tubs blue zoas in his cave
Time to give him another handful of shells to decorate with so he leaves my zoas alone

The fire lamellosa, doing very awesome! Super long fighting testicles on it though.

The open brain coral, this thing begs non stop and has 4 mouths so far! Only target feeding it 1-2 times a week though.

Re: Tank Build
Ok got all sorts of spiffy new stuff from a buddy that's getting out of the hobby. The corals were recently put in so they are still a little pissed off and not all poofy and pretty yet.
Harlequin serpent star! He is up under the open brain coral, he moves fast!

A pink cucumber, these guys are filter feeders and he had his filters out right after I put him in the tank, happy guy so far!

Re: Tank Build
I will get more pics once they all settle in and color up better, just so excited that I had to share!
I'm thinking about hanging the light from the ceiling and adding in 2 metal halides and running the chiller on this tank till the 120g is fully cycled, then all the stoneys will move over there and I will just do softys in this tank and they wont need the metal halides so I can move the chiller over to the 120g.

Re: Tank Build
Ok I was bad.....
I got the red scooter blenny that I have been eyeballing for the past 3 weeks, he is just too darn cute! And the tank is crawling with little bugs and copepods so he will have plenty to graze on
Pics soon!

Re: Tank Build
Just picked up a sail fin tang to help nibble on the bit of hair algae, I also have patches of macro algae growing in the tank and he should mow that down quick.
Picked him out of 3 that were there, he ate the best and wasn't as shy.
Hopefully he does well pics soon as he settles in!

Re: Tank Build
so the sailfin tang has ich........ was covered last night not so bad this morning, I am going to try the garlic treatment, dont think I can pull him out of the tank without over stressing him to treat him with copper (copper in a reef is BAD) I am also going to get a cleaner shrimp or 2 for the tank so they can help get rid of it as well.
