Help requested from all of ya..

Post by williemcd on Mon May 23, 2011 9:16 pm

I made the deal on 5 or 6 salt tanks.. ranging from 155 and around there.. 4 are corner bow fronts with 36 in. sides, 24 inch height.. 3 of them.. one is a bit bigger.. all salt.. all with skimmers, sumps, stands etc. No pics of them at this time.. BUT.. with them I arranged to buy the whole shitnkaboodle of the outside pond.. 40 feet by 6 feet wide ending in a 12 X 12 foot pool.. everything included... oh.. and about 60 Koi ranging from 5 inches to 14 inches.. no gold fish but fancy Koi.. AND 2 WEEKS to remove everything!
Pics next: the call for advice later:

The sailfish is about 6 ft tall, the eagle is about 5 ft.
So the issue is.. since the salt tanks won't be ready for a couple of months to host the Koi until I sell off, WHAT THE HELL do I do with the Koi as I sell them off? Thoughts anyone?..
I'm too embarrassed to share the price until I've sold off my investment... Bill in Va.

OMG I would so put that sail fish in my front yard!
Kiddy pools and lots of them! Sponge or corner filters and lots and lots of e=water changes! No worrys with heaters as long as the koi dont freeze they are fine!

I agree with the Kiddie pools, as there isnt much else that you can do, unless you build a above ground temp pond at your house to house them.

Vix left me a big pond liner.. 250G?.. I've a 160G liner.. that gives me close to 1000 G's... this could work out!...Bill in Va.

The liner is a great idea for the tub. When I did mine I just plugged up all the jet holes but could not use as a hot tub again. Plus I cleaned it for a month to be sure chemicals were out. (soaked for 3 weeks with water and 10 gals of vinegar in it) it was about the same size as yours. Start checking CL for any large kiddie pools or ponds.
