    Hey guys!

Post by snookemz on Sat Apr 30, 2011 10:12 pm

I've been gone a good while, I'm so sorry! I got busy with life and the kids and losing weight - plus all this unpacking that still needs to be done a month after the move lol
I've had a Co2 disaster recently - geez what a PITA! I still have yeast on the substrate in one tank! Word for the wise, don't try to hook up one bottle to 2 tanks just to see if it works. It does work, then it creates a giant disaster that will ruin your floors.

Anyway, now that the issues are cleared up, I'm ready to get some cherry shrimp and killis for one tank and I STILL haven't stocked the 72gallon, but now that its been set up for 3months I can be assured its cycled lol

Looking forward to getting into the threads again! Missed you guys! Those plants are still going strong Fern, in fact, I just sent off a friend with enough trimmings to fill her son's 10g pretty nicely!

cheers Glad you wandered over! Ya I don't play with DIY co2 for that reason, flourish excel works just as well without the mess....
Glad to hear the plants are doing so well!!!!

How's Florida treating you vixen? I will definitely get on some pictures soon! The co2 was great for a while, worked with the ferts like crazy! Too bad it almost caused mass homicide

Of course I didn't lol thus the problem. It flooded the stand and the wood floors...all while I was sleeping of course! Not a good time. Never again. I'd rather just use the tablets and hope its enough with the lights and ferts

Just get a bottle of flourish excel, pretty much just liquid co2. Its what I use and only about a half dose does the trick.
Yes tanks always have issues when you are sleeping it seems....
